Welcome to our website! For those of you who don’t me, my name is Poldy van Lynden, and I have been working with my good friend, Rob McArthur, to plan and train for a seriously challenging expedition! This first post is to let you all know what we are planning to do. The easiest way to explain that is to watch the video that we’ve made. We are getting a professional video made but for now you will have to suffer my amateur film making skills.

We are aiming to raise over £100,000 for The Scout Association. Reaching this target is going to involve a lot of hard work. We would both be massively appreciative if you can donate what you can to help. We need the support!

We’ve both spent the 15 months training for this expedition which will begin in June 2017. It has taken over our lives. When we eventually do go, we will be live tracking our progress, creating blog posts with videos and photos of our experience and we hope that you can join the journey. We will need your encouragement to keep going!
